Field Trip – Milwaukee Public Museum

Hello there, I’m here to share a little about one of our Field Trips for the 2016-2017 school year.

We were studying our Stars and Space Unit from our Science Curriculum so I decided it would be great to have a field trip to a planetarium. I didn’t want to drive all the way to Chicago so we opted for Milwaukee. The distance is about the same but the traffic is much less stressful, and due to my anxiety I could handle the Milwaukee traffic better.

I left the house thinking that we were going to see only the Planetarium and that it would have more information about the planets, stars and so on, but the truth is we learned so much more. It was a great trip and I’m so looking forward to visiting it again.

We couldn’t take pictures during the Wisconsin Stargazing presentation, but it was awesome. Their Dome Theater is just so cool and so huge and it gives the feeling that you really stargazing – it’s truly an unique experience. If you can visit the Milwaukee Public Museum we highly recommend it.

But we were able to see much more stuff, too bad I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted but I’ll share what I have here from some of the exhibits, such as:

  • European Village
  • Rain Forest
  • Streets of Old Milwaukee
  • Exploring Life on Earth

We saw all of these and many more but I just don’t remember them all. ¬†Bellow are some fun pictures of the above exhibitions.

These are just some of the pictures. Even though I didn’t take as many pictures as I wanted to, I still had many pictures and it was hard to choose the ones I wanted to share, the ones that would tell you what an exciting trip it was and if you can go visit the Milwaukee Public Museum. Every first Thursday of the month you can visit it for free, Check their website for more accurate information as these may change each month.

Hope you enjoyed our post!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
